Celebrating the Heritage of Schwinn
Here is a photo I took of two of my antique Schwinn bikes with my son's 2003 Schwinn S-30 21 speed all terrain bike. To the left of that is my 1959 Mk.IV Jaguar 3 speed, which I have owned since 1978. To the right is my all original 1967 Collegiate 5 speed in violet, that I got in 2007.
Jim.

Hello there Jim. My name is Scott Alter, I am currently fixing up a 1965 Schwinn Hollywood in the radiant blue color that you described painting your MK-1 jaguar in one of your blog posts. You described an automotive touch up spray that matched the color so well you couldn't tell the difference. My phone number is 918-852-0335 and my email is scottalter12@gmail.com, please get back to me at your earliest convenience. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteIt was Duplicolor Perfect Match Chrysler Intense Blue Pearl #BCCO422, but this was almost 8-10 years ago when I did this. I don't know if the product is still available, now.----Jim V.
ReplyDeleteIt has another code number PB3 on the can lid as well as the other number I just gave you.
DeleteOk, yeah I figured it would be a while and the product probably didn't exist. Thank you so much though, this helps so much as it has been an unreal journey to find any reference on the paint color. So thank you Jim. --- Scott
